Don’t use sideways strokes or it wont look as clean when you pull the vinyl off. The easiest way to do this is to dab down with a sponge brush. I pulled the transfer paper off and then was able to paint inside the vinyl to make my letters white. I pulled all the letters off first, then used the transfer paper to put the background onto my board. Since I stained the other board I did the vinyl the opposite way here. Once it was dry I was able to pull my vinyl off and the gray paint came off on the vinyl leaving the black showing through. I didn’t do the coat really smooth I wanted it to be distressed and I didn’t want to sand it later. I made sure the letters were stuck down really good and then brushed my gray paint over the top. Then I used the transfer paper to place the words straight onto my board. Unlike the others, Rotty likes the skimpy princess outfit she is made to wear, and insists she's going to keep it. Though Shantae still harbors bitter feelings for Rotty's role in the loss of her powers, the zombie girl manages to appeal to Shantae's heroic nature by tricking the half-genie into carrying her through a monster-infested forest.ĭuring the events of Tan Line Temple, Rotty is among the girls that the palace guards have mistaken for their princess. She is first met by Shantae on Spiderweb Island, where she and her brothers have lived since leaving the Zombie Caravan. Rottytops plays several roles in the events of Pirate's Curse. The siblings begrudgingly leave not wanting trouble, with Rotty crying. After delivering Mimic to her, Risky backs out on the deal. Later in the game, she and her brothers kidnap Mimic for Risky Boots in exchange for a large supply of coffee (and in Rotty's case, Shantae's brains). Rottytops also mentions her two brothers who appear later on in need of Shantae's help for "zombie coffee". Everyone responds no but Rottytops warns Shantae about the three Barons she is in search of. Rottytops says no but sends her Chit Chat Spider out into the "World-Wide Web" to ask the other zombies if they've heard of it. Shantae questions Rottytops if she has heard of the Magical Seal. She then gives Shantae a sample which is a dog name Wobble Bell. She tells Shantae that she is traveling around and sampling the local cuisine. In the sequel, Shantae meets Rottytops in the forest where she is apparently traveling on her own with a wagon that's pulled by a skeleton horse. As this dance automatically sets the in-game clock to nighttime, it's a nifty trick if the player is searching for fireflies. The Zombie Caravan only appears at night unless the player obtains the dance steps that transports Shantae to Caravan. Shantae can also race Rottytops when the player feels like it as a bonus mini-game. If the player talks to her again, she mentions what direction you must go and her love for brains. If the player wins the race, Rottytops opens the next dungeon by removing her leg and using the tip of its bone as a key. The player can race an infinite amount of times. If Shantae loses, Rottytops offers to either try again or give her the brains. ![]() This stage contains obstacles the player must jump over and slide under using perfect timing. Once the player agrees, they enter another stage in which Rottytops and Shantae race. They bargain that if Shantae wins, Rottytops will open the dungeon and if Shantae loses, Rottytops gets to eat her brains. Shantae asks for the location of another dungeon, but Rottytops refuses to answer unless Shantae agrees to race her. Shantae meets Rottytops in a building that reads " KEEP OUT". Rottytops first appears once the player arrives at the Zombie Caravan, which only appears at night in the Swamps. Her idle sprite animation has her hands on her hips as she swings back and forth in place. She wears a short purple tank top that exposes her midriff, a yellow headband, skull earrings, a matching skull buckle on her brown belt, navy blue jean shorts, and a black choker around her neck. She has stitches on her left arm and right leg. Being a zombie she has green skin and choppy, dark green hair, and red eyes. Rottytops subsequently both helps her and deceives her over the course of the sequels, although it is revealed in The Pirate's Curse that she genuinely considers Shantae her best friend, but has trouble communicating it. Although she initially threatens to eat her brains, she grows fond of the half-genie, mainly because Shantae won't run away from her like other people. From their first encounter, Rotty builds a complicated but mostly friendly relationship with Shantae. However, she is also extremely untrustworthy, crafty, and manipulative. ![]() Stringing is also a problem when making prints with thinner layer heights. Larger prints are prone to warping and have occasional blemishes, especially if they are complex designs like clock gear. There’s little to no stringing, and contours are smooth even with more complex models. They mostly come out clean and with lots of detail. Many users reported that the overall print quality is good for small objects. Belts that don’t use timing can drop straight down and probably ruin the model being printed as well as the print bed. The unit equally features a timing belt inside the extruder, which prevents it from dropping straight down. Linear rails tend to facilitate fast and fluid motion, which results in accurate movement and precise printing. The Cetus 3D printer is also equipped with stainless steel linear rails on each axis as the basic motion system in which the extruder and print bed move. Switching between the nozzles is easy and takes only a few minutes. Moreover, the unit uses a direct drive extruder, which works better with flexible filament (TPU) than Bowden style extruders. This combination of different nozzles and resolutions makes the Cetus 3D printer versatile enough to work with a wide variety of filaments. The 0.44mm nozzle is the default hot end that comes pre-installed on the extruder, and it’s meant for general purpose printing. The 0.2mm nozzle provides fine details and accurate prints while the 0.6mm delivers less detail, but it’s fast and ideal for structural parts. You can easily adjust the layer height to your preference or to achieve specific results. They can reach a maximum temperature of 500☏ (260☌) and offer various layer resolutions, including 350, 300, 250, 200, 100, 70, and 50 microns.Įach nozzle has its preset profile and dictates how much filament is extruded to print. The printer utilizes a single-extruder system and comes with three interchangeable nozzles with diameters of 0.6mm, 0.4mm, and 0.2mm. They come in a wide range of colors and have low-warp and low-odor properties. The supported filament diameter is 1.75mm and the unit has an open-source design, so you can use third parties cartridges without any issues although the Tiertime offers its own Cetus-optimized PLA filament in 700g spools. Its open-frame design allows you to see the whole printing process, but it exposes the hot extruder, which is not only unsafe but also puts the vital components of the printer as well as the printed model at risk of getting damaged by external factors. It’s also very light, which, plus its small size makes it easy to carry and move around. It can fit on a desk without taking up much space. ![]() It has a small footprint (13 x 12.9 x 9.4 inches). ![]() The whole unit is generally strong and durable. I’m curious if you get this to work-I gave up on Simplif圓D because it wasn’t worth fighting with such an expensive software package, but having Cura as an alternative would be nice on certain prints. I also used just a single M109 command to turn the extruder off at the end. In Simplif圓D, my only heater-related command in my start code was this: M109 S wait for extruder temp to stabilise I’m not sure why that would cause your heater to keep running, though. From here, it seems like the difference is that M109 “blocks” and waits for the temp while the M104 lets the script continue. The biggest heater-related difference I see between your start script and mine is that you’re using multiple M104 and M109 commands, while I only had a single M109. I had 99 problems but a runaway heater wasn’t one. I’m no expert, but I fought with my Cetus and G-code for a few weeks (by way of Simplif圓D).
